Looking Good

We had our two week check up yesterday. Everything was good, Jacob is measuring at exactly 32 weeks and his heartbeat is perfect. I on the other hand have been told to take it easy because I have lost a little bit of weight. With a full blown toddler running around and packing to move it will be hard to do. We are scheduled out for another check in two weeks. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

30 Weeks Along

Only 68 days to go!! Well, we had our routine four week check up today. We were seen by the nurse practitioner Kelli because Dr. Serr is on vacation. The heartbeat was 165, I gained three pounds and my belly measured 30 weeks so everything was perfect! We are now going in for checks every two weeks so our next appointment is November 24th.

Another Routine Check

I went in for another routine doctors appointment, it was a week early though so they could see me one more time before flying. Everything is great. My glucose test came back normal, yeah!! I will post a picture of BABY JACOB (a.k.a. belly bump) in Hawaii when we get back. Yes, I believe we have a name, Colton pretty much picked Jacob for us and we like it. Now on to the middle name dilemma.

23 Weeks Along

I went for a regular doctors appointment today. It was very quick. Dr. Serr checked my weight and baby wiechman's heartbeat. Everything is great and right on schedule. It is time for the dreaded glucose testing, I will go in and have bloodwork done in the next couple weeks to check for gestational diabetes. The best thing from the appointment...we are all cleared to fly! Hawaii here we come!!!!! Still no update on a name, hopefully by the next update we will have decided.

It's a BOY!!!

That's right, Colton is going to have a little brother. We had our monthly doctors appointment and found out we are having another BOY! I called twice to see if we were going to have the ultrasound and both times they told me no, but when I got there they ended up doing it, so we got our surprise a month early. The bummer was that Ben didn't come because we thought it would just be a routine check. Luckily he was still very surprised with the news and that outweighed the disappointment of not being there. Baby Boy Wiechman was very proud of his male parts and kept showing them to the doctor, as you can see in the third picture, he was pretty much "spread eagle" the whole time. Everything else checked out really good. Our next appointment is September 22nd.

Heart Beat

Today we had a doctors appointment. They moved us up from the 28th to today because they will be in training on the 28th. We met with the nurse practitioner, Kelli Gosch. She found the babies heart beat right away, it is beating at a nice and quick 158. My thyroid blood work came back normal so that is a big relief! Our next appointment is August 21st, we should find out at that appointment the gender of the baby. Am I a boy or girl???

Ultrasound

Today we had our second doctors appointment and our first ultrasound of Baby Wiechman. Everything looked great and by the measurements, the due date of January 21st is right on. Of course knowing that Colton surprised us three weeks early, the doctor said to keep in mind that second babies tend to come just as early if not earlier.

All my blood work that they sent me for mostly came back good. My thyroid level was a little low so they are sending me back for more testing. And again, as with Colton, I am loosing weight instead of gaining (8 lbs. total). They are not concerned yet though since I did the same last time. It just seems that my bodies metabolism kicks into high gear when I am pregnant. Our next appointment is July 28th, at that time we will hear the heart beat and should have the second round of thyroid results.

Telling the Grandparents

Tonight we had a special dinner with all the Grandparents. Big Brother Colton surprised them all by coming out wearing a new t-shirt that announced the big news. As you can tell they were very happy. Colton is very proud of his shirt.

First Doctors Appointment

Today we had our first doctors appointment. It was actually with the nurse. It was to make sure all the medical information was the same as last time with Colton. We also got our "Goodie Bag" as they call it with all sorts of information, samples, calendars, etc. Our next appointment is July 1st which will include the first ultrasound.

The Big Test

Today we found out that we were expecting!! We

are very excited and can't wait to tell the news to all our family and friends.
